  1. Trades settle on the platform

    Every completed trade — quantity, grade, region and final price — is logged automatically at the point of settlement.

  2. Prices are weighted by volume

    Each commodity's reference price is a volume-weighted average of the past 24 hours of settled trades, not a simple mean.

  3. The floor updates every morning

    New reference prices publish at 6:00am GMT daily, giving both sides a consistent number to negotiate from.
